The Itch

This drawing will soon appear in Eating The Peach, a book of poems and drawings of mine about love and illusion. This particular drawing was from when I lived in Seattle in 1982 and "gave up art" and started doodling--which started me on the (artistic) path I am still on with ceramic sculpture as well as drawing and now painting.

About Eos: The Creative Context

This blog/magazine Eos: The Creative Context encompasses/invites art, poetry, memoirs, social/political/healing commentary to help create a wider creative context in which we can inspire and be inspired by each other.

About "Eos:"
Eos was originally the Greek Goddess of the Dawn. For us now she can help represent our ability to manage the New Age rapidly coming towards us. She is often depicted on her chariot guiding her two winged horses. She encourages us to take the reigns of our destiny and to make and explore what that can be. (Note: The sculpture in the masthead is called "Eos Re-emerging" by Bea Garth, copyright 2008.)

How To Use This Blog

To read more of what is here, peruse the list of posts and click on what seems of interest to you--it will then appear at the top of the blog. Posts of a particular type from a writer or artist will be grouped together once you click the label below one of their posts.

Also see Index section below. Click one label in the index or archive -- and all posts of that type for that author will then be featured. Posts of a similar type will also be listed next to each other (alphabetically).

COMMENTS:
As editors, we highly encourage comments and discussion. It helps the authors and artists to know others are paying attention. It is our hope this blog can become a lively place where we communicate back and forth.

In order to make comments on someone's artwork, poetry or article etc., please click the word "comment" at the bottom of a particular post.

If you don't already have a Google account, you then need to sign up for one now. The Google request actually will have popped up after you hit comments, asking for your account name and email address--or to sign up if you haven't already.

To sign up with Google costs you nothing. You need to type in your current email address, however that address won't be visible by anyone. You then can take on a pseudonym -- or not. Afterwards there are some letters and numbers that you need to identify so Google can make sure you are who you say you are.

You can write a comment of most any length. And the Google/Blogger system will send it to me to preview it. I am very open minded, however I will not publish posts that are disrespectful of the various authors and artists here. Its fine to disagree, just do so respectfully.
